Big Brother Canada Season 9 Fantasy Pool contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, its affiliates, related companies, successors and assigns (collectively, “OLG”) and Corus Sales Inc., its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, related companies, successors and assigns (collectively, “Corus”; together with OLG, the “Sponsors”) and is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by any social media platforms, including Facebook, on which the Contest may have been promoted and/or publicized. Facebook is completely released, including by each entrant in this Contest, of all liability. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest must be directed to Corus at info@bbcanfantasy.com and not to any social media platforms, including, but not limited to Facebook.

1. ELIGIBILITY.

(a) To be eligible for this Contest, entrants must: (i) be a legal resident of the province of Ontario; (ii) be eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry; and (iii) have a valid Contest Account (as defined in Section 3(a) below).

(b) The following people are not eligible to enter the Contest:

(i) employees of Corus;
(ii)employees of OLG, its agents, parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions;
(iii) employees of Insight Productions, Innovate by Day and each of their affiliates, subsidiaries, related companies, successors and assigns, advertising and promotional agencies;
(iv) any person who has informed OLG that they are participating in the self-exclusion program in the province of Ontario;
(v) prize sponsors;
(vi) employees of Sponsors’ promotional and advertising agencies and administrators;
(vii) any person who has been confirmed as a winner of two (2) Corus administered contests within six (6) months preceding the Contest start date indicated below; and
(viii) The parents, siblings and children, and persons domiciled with of any of the parties listed in Section (i) to (vii) above.

2. CONTEST PERIOD.

(a) The Contest starts at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on February 25, 2021, and ends at 5:00 p.m. ET on May 3, 2021 (the “Contest Period”) after which time the Contest will be closed and no further entries shall be accepted.

3. HOW TO ENTER.

(a) THERE IS NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER THE CONTEST. To enter the Contest, visit the website located at bigbrothercanada.ca/olgfantasy and create an account for the Contest (each a “Contest Account”). Creation of a Contest Account constitutes acceptance of these Contest rules (the “Contest Rules”) and entry in this Contest. To qualify for a chance to win a Weekly Prize (as defined in Section 4(a)) in any given Week (as defined in the chart below) during the Contest Period, log into your Contest Account and earn points by: (i) correctly answering weekly questions (the “Weekly Questions”); (ii) predicting the two (2) houseguests each Week that will make it through to the following Week; (iii) predicting the eventual winning houseguest; (iv) adding a profile picture to your contest account; (v) logging into your Contest Account each Week; and (vi) inviting a friend to enter the Contest.

(b) Any points before the End Date & Time of any given Week, they will not be eligible to win a Weekly Prize for that Week. If entrants do not earn any points before the end of the Contest Period, they will not be eligible to win a Finalist Prize (as defined in Section 4(b) below).

(c) There is a limit of one Contest Account per entrant. Entries received online shall be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the entry. For the purpose of these Contest Rules, “authorized account holder” of an e-mail address is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Each selected entrant may be required to provide Corus with proof that the selected entrant is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry.

(d) Use of any automated, script, macro, robotic or other program(s) to enter or otherwise participate in this Contest is prohibited and will automatically result in disqualification. If you opt to enter this Contest via your wireless mobile device (which may only be available via participating wireless carriers and is not required to enter the Contest), standard text messaging and/or data rates may apply according to the terms and conditions of your services agreement with your wireless carrier. Other charges may apply (such as normal airtime and carrier charges) and may appear on your mobile phone bill or be deducted from your prepaid account balance. Wireless carriers’ rate plans may vary, and you should contact your wireless carrier for more information on messaging rate plans and charges relating to your participation in this Contest. Participation in this Contest by mobile device means that you understand that you may receive additional messages by mobile device relating to this Contest, including notifying you if you are the potential Prize winner (if applicable), which may be subject to charges pursuant to your carrier’s rate plan. Mobile device service may not be available in all areas. Check your phone’s capabilities for specific instructions before entering the Contest via your wireless mobile device.

4. CONTEST PRIZES.

(a) Weekly Prizes. There are a total of thirty-three (33) weekly prizes (the “Weekly Prizes”) available to be won during the Contest Period by the Weekly Prize winners (the “Weekly Winners”). The Weekly Prizes for any given Week consist of the following: (i) five hundred Canadian dollars (CDN$500.00); (ii) two hundred and fifty Canadian dollars (CDN$250.00); and (iii) one hundred Canadian dollars (CDN$100.00). The Weekly Winners are chosen by a random draw from all entrants that correctly answered at least one (1) Weekly Question . Each additional Weekly Question answered correctly by an entrant during that Week earns that entrant an additional entry into the draw for the applicable Weekly Prize.

(b) Finalist Prizes. There are three (3) finalist prizes (the “Finalist Prizes”) available to be won during the Contest Period by the Contest finalists (the “Finalists”). The Finalist Prizes consist of the following: (i) ten thousand Canadian dollars (CDN$10,000.00) to the entrant with the most accumulated points during the Contest Period; (ii) five thousand Canadian dollars (CDN$5,000.00) to the entrant with the second most accumulated points during the Contest Period; and (iii) two thousand five hundred Canadian dollars (CDN$2,500.00) to the entrant with the third most accumulated points during the Contest Period. There is a limit of one (1) Weekly Prize and (1) Finalist Prize per household.

(c) Weekly Prizes and Finalist Prizes are hereafter collectively referred to as “Prize” or “Prizes”. Weekly Winners and Finalists are hereafter collectively referred to as a “Winner” or “Winners”.

(d) The Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, assigned or substituted, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsors. Any unused, unclaimed or declined portion of a Prize will be forfeited, and the Sponsors shall have no obligation to provide either an alternative or value-in-kind.

(e) Shipped Prizes shall not be insured and the Sponsors shall not assume any liability for lost, damaged or misdirected Prizes.

5. WEEKLY WINNER SELECTION.

(a) At the end of each Week, three (3) Weekly Winners will be selected as follows:

(b) The odds of being selected as a potential Weekly Winner for any given Week are dependent upon the number of entries each entrant earns during that Week and the total number of entries earned by all entrants during that Week. Each entrant shall be eligible to win only one (1) Weekly Prize during the Contest Period. Before being declared a Weekly Winner, each selected entrant shall be required to comply with the Contest Rules and sign and return the Release (described in Section 8 below).

(c) Upon the selected entrant being notified that they have been selected as a potential Weekly Winner, they must respond by telephone or e-mail (as specified in the notification) to the contact number or e-mail address no later than the indicated deadline set out in the chart in Section 5(a) above (the “Chart”). If the selected entrant does not respond accordingly, they will be disqualified from the Contest and will not receive a Weekly Prize and another entrant may be selected as a potential Weekly Winner in the Sponsors’ sole discretion until such time as an entrant satisfies the terms set out herein. The Sponsors are not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a selected entrant to receive notification or for the Sponsors to receive a selected entrant’s response.

(d) If, as a result of an error relating to the entry process, drawing or any other aspect of the Contest, there are more selected entrants for the Weekly Prizes than contemplated in these Contest Rules, there will be a random draw amongst all eligible Weekly Prize claimants after the applicable Date Weekly Winners Selected (as set out in the Chart) to award the correct number of Weekly Prizes.

6. FINALIST PRIZE WINNER SELECTION.

(a) On or about Friday, May 6, 2021 in Toronto, Ontario, three (3) Finalists shall be selected to win the three (3) Finalist Prizes based on the total points accumulated by all entrants throughout the Contest Period. Each entrant shall be eligible to win only one (1) Finalist Prize. The odds of being selected as a potential Finalist is dependent upon the number of points each entrant accumulates during the Contest Period. Before being declared a Finalist, each selected entrant shall be required to comply with the Contest Rules and sign and return the Release.

(b) Upon the selected entrant being notified that they have been selected as a potential Finalist, they must respond by telephone or e-mail (as specified in the notification) to the contact number or e-mail address no later than the indicated deadline set out in the Chart above. If the selected entrant does not respond accordingly, they will be disqualified from the Contest and will not receive a Prize and another entrant may be selected as a potential Finalist in the Sponsor’s sole discretion until such time as an entrant satisfies the terms set out herein. The Sponsors are not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a selected entrant to receive notification or for the Sponsors to receive a selected entrant’s response.

(c) If, as a result of an error relating to the entry process, drawing or any other aspect of the Contest, or in the event of a tie in point accumulation between multiple entrants, there are more selected entrants for the Finalist Prizes than contemplated in these Contest Rules, there will be a random draw amongst all eligible Finalist Prize claimants after the Contest’s closing date to award the correct number of Finalist Prizes.

6. RELEASE. Before being awarded a Prize, a potential Winner will be required to agree to, sign and return, a legal agreement and full release and indemnity form setting out, among other things, their name, physical address, email address, that they acknowledge and agree that they have read and understand these Contest Rules, that they grant all consents required, that they agree to be available and to participate in publicity and/or promotions related to the Contest and/or the Sponsors and/or similar matters, that they authorize the Sponsors to broadcast, publish, disseminate and otherwise use their name, full mailing address, photograph, likeness, sobriquet and voice, in connection with any promotion and/or publicity, and/or for general news, entertainment and/or information purposes at no additional compensation to the potential Winner, beyond the awarding of a Prize, and that they accept the Prize as offered and release the Sponsors from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the potential Winner’s participation in this Contest and receipt and use of a Prize. In the event that a potential Winner does not comply with all the provisions as contemplated in these Contest Rules, Sponsors shall have the right to disqualify the potential Winner from the Contest and or from redeeming any Prize and draw an alternate potential Winner, and the Sponsors shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. The provisions and procedures referred to above relating to selection and notification of a potential Winner shall be applied, with the necessary amendments, until all qualified winners have been duly selected, but in any event, no later than June 30, 2021.

7. By entering this Contest, the entrants automatically agree to accept and abide by these Contest Rules. All decisions of the Sponsors with respect to any aspect of this Contest, including without limitation the eligibility of entries, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this Contest.

8. All entries become the property of Sponsors, who assume no responsibility for garbled, lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected entries, mail, voice messages, e-mail or any computer errors or malfunctions. No correspondence will be entered into except with entrants requesting Contest Rules by mail or requesting the names of the Winners (for which a self-addressed, postage-paid envelope must be included). Sponsors do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials or data that have been tampered with or altered are void. If for any reason, in the opinion of the Sponsors, in their sole discretion, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or the proper conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond its control, the Sponsors reserve their right to cancel, terminate, modify, amend, extend or suspend the Contest, and select a Winner from previously received eligible entries. The Sponsors reserve their right to modify, amend or suspend the Contest Rules in any way, at any time, for any reason without prior notice. The Sponsors reserve their rights in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of the Contest Rules or otherwise in a disruptive manner. Any attempts to deliberately damage the Contest web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made the Sponsors reserves their right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent of the law. The Sponsors shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest including any damage to an entrant’s computer equipment, system, software or any combination thereof, as a result of their participation in this Contest or from downloading any material from the Contest website.

9. By participating in the Contest, each entrant: (i) grants to Corus and to any subcontractors that have been engaged on behalf of Corus, the right to use their name, postal code, province, age of majority confirmation and e-mail address (collectively the “Personal Information”) for the purpose of administering the Contest, including but not limited to contacting and announcing the Winners and coordinating the provision of the Prizes; (ii) grants to Corus the right to use their Personal Information for publicity and promotional purposes relating to the Contest, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation unless prohibited by law; and (iii) acknowledges that Corus may disclose their Personal Information to third-party agents and service providers of any of Corus in connection with any of the activities listed in (i) and (ii) above.

10. The “personal information”, as defined in the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, RSO, 1990, c F.31, of entrants will not be collected by or transmitted to OLG in respect of this Contest.

11. The subcontractor engaged by Corus will use the entrant’s Personal Information only for identified purposes, and protect the entrant’s Personal Information in a manner that is consistent with their Privacy Policy at: https://pgedemo.innovatebyday.ca/privacy-policy/.

12. By entering this Contest, each entrant releases, indemnifies and holds each of the Sponsors and each of their employees, directors, officers, suppliers, agents, sponsors administrators, licensees, representatives, advertising, media buying and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Releasees”), from any and all actions, causes of actions, suits, debts, dues, accounts, claims, damages or liability for any loss, harm, damages, costs or expenses arising out of, or in any way related to, this Contest, from (a) the entrant’s participation (or attempted participation) in this Contest; (b) the awarding, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of any Prize (or any portion thereof); or (c) any breach of the Contest Rules. Each entrant agrees to fully indemnify the Releasees from any and all claims made by third parties relating to the entrant’s participation in the Contest, without limitation.

13. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the Contest Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including but not limited to the Contest entry form, or point of sale, television, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of the Contest Rules shall prevail, govern and control to the extent of any such discrepancy or inconsistency.

14.  All intellectual property, including but not limited to trademarks, trade names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source code, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by the Sponsors and or each of their respective affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
